WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Representative Greg Walden (R-Hood River) has held 20 town hall meetings in the first three months of 2019, completing one in each county of Oregon’s Second Congressional District. Walden held seven town hall meetings this past weekend across eastern Oregon, bringing his town hall total to 168 since 2012.

“Over the last 12 months, we’ve heard from more than 70,000 people who we have responded to on phone calls, emails, and other communications from my office,” said Walden. “These in-person town halls in the Second District are another great way to hear from people and get their counsel.”

According to Town Hall Project, Walden is among the top lawmakers in Congress in the number of town halls held in 2019.

Walden held town halls across eight counties in southern, central, and eastern Oregon in January and held town halls in Lake and Morrow counties in February. In early March, Walden held town hall meetings in Hood River, Wasco, and Umatilla counties, before holding meetings in Wallowa, Union, Baker, Grant, Wheeler, Gilliam, and Sherman counties this past weekend.

“I really appreciate all of those who turned out and participated, and I look forward to continuing to hold meetings all across Oregon’s great Second District.”
